Gretchen,

My whole family sat around the other night and watched the ‘This is My Body’ video.

We were inspired!

My 5yr old and 3yr old boys were especially captivated when the childrens group sang.

You have an incredible voice and such a wonderful stage presence, but what we appreciated most about the video was the message it shouted out to the world that true love is about laying down your life for others as our Lord Jesus Christ did for us.

As a child of God, our bodies are not our own, we’ve been bought with a price - the blood of Jesus.

Your video demonstrated the healing power of our living Savior to those who surrender their lives to Him.

Thank you for taking such a bold stance for Christ, singing unto His glory, and blessing us with your life.

Because He lives,

Derek Taylor, D.C.

Just ordered your CD “Sign of Love” mainly for your song “Yes Lord” which I enjoyed on DANA’s “We are one Body” EWTN show. Also thought your performance with DANA on “This is my Body” was great, really meaningful.

Gretchen,
my friend let’s just go on record and say it loud. It’s official. You’ve recorded in Nashville, TN! Yes, I said Nashville. This one has to be Grammy material. Whew, you motivate me… And you still looked wonderful after more than 12 hours of pouring your heart out in the studio.

Dear Gretchen,
It was a pleasure to hear your beautiful singing voice. I will buy more albums. I love your songs of Mary!
I had a experience sort of like yours where I felt the Blessed Mother standing near me and Jesus was there also.

Prayers for husband

My husband Mike had brain surgury May 27th for a brain tumor which mestatisized from a lung tumor which we did not know he had. He is recovering very well from surgery because of all the prayers that are being said for him. His cat scan did not show up any other cancer, but will be having a pet scan tomorrow to make sure. I was given “Hope for tomorrow” from a friend and it is so comforting. I ask prayer for Mike and our family. Mike is 50. We have 5 children (4 married) and we have 3 grandchildren with another due any time. His vision has been affected by the brain tumor, but other than that, he is feeling good. We will know in a few days what treatment plan he will have. God’s love has poured out on us from all our family and friends and people we don’t even know.
Thank You!
Mary Ann

PRAYERS

My Mom, Denise, has recently been diagnosed with follicular lymphoma. She has had 3 chemotherapy treatments so far, and will be having a CAT scan on May 26 to see how the lymphoma is responding. Please pray that the treatments will remove all traces of cancer from her body. She is experiencing severe back pain during this time (believed to be a result of the swollen lymph nodes along her spine). This pain and the medicine keeps her from getting restful nights of sleep. Please also pray that she is able to sleep and be refreshed so she can fight this terrible disease with the help of the Lord.
Thank you and God bless,
- Karen

Please pray for my 22y/o daughter. Two months ago she discovered that she had a tumor in the upper right maxilla and in the mouth. Please pray that it be benign. She is getting ready for surgery soon. It will be a rather large surgery because they will have to remove a part of the upper jaw and upper palate and I don’t know what else. Please pray that she have a successful surgery and no complication during the surgery or after-care.
Thank you
- Her mom

Please pray for the successful completion of my Sung Rosary project, that I will secure the necessary funds, find the funds that exist that I just can’t see, and that I will not try to complete it alone. Also, please pray that when I sing the prayers, that my vocals will be transparent, showing the many blessings I have garnered from singing this rosary to our Lord and Lady. Thank you.

Pray for Jay

Please prayer for my nephew, Jay Shields. Jay will be going in for a
very dangerous surgery to remove a tumor from his spine on Wednesday
at MD Anderson Hospital in Houston. They will also be removing a
cancerous spot from his lung. (There are numerous spots but they are
only taking one now and will remove the rest in a few months.

Jay is 18. He has been battling osteosarcoma for over 3 years now. God
has blessed us with so many miracles through out this journey. The
biggest one being the fact that Jay is still here when the other 5
boys w/ the same disease who started chemo at the same time as him
have all passed away.

Thanks to all of you who sent Jay cards and CDs this past year. He
really did appreciate them. Jay is a beautiful piano player and has
also been writing a few songs and poems. He has struggled w/ his
beliefs throughout this process. However, in a recent visit w/ me he
seemed to be opening himself up to God and faith.

Please pray for Suzanne… “Right now.”
Posted by: @ 11:36 pm

This is from her husband. Suzanne is a fellow cantor at my church and a good friend. She’s going through stem cell replacement at UCLA:

Suzanne needs prayers – she needs them now. Right now. The last two weeks have been the toughest struggle for my beautiful wife and today it has become even rougher. Suzanne is in a lot of pain and the pain is progressing – today it hit her hands. This is what I need – please commit time for prayer right now. Ask God to relieve the pain in Suzanne’s hands and feet. Pray that the Holy Spirit surrounds each finger and passes to each cell to relieve her discomfort and begin healing these tissues. Pray that her stem cells grow rapidly to recreate her immune system. Most of all prayer for Suzanne’s spirit – her confidence is very low (she has endured day after day of this chronic pain) – pray that Suzanne feels the Hand of her God on her pressing, holding, and carrying her through this.

Next job… enlist your friends and family (forward this email on) – no need for them to know Zan. Tell them about this very cool lady and her struggle – put them on duty. Moms are good at that delegating (remember Mary at the feast of Cana – no one can deny a mom, even Christ). Ok… I know you have kept us in your hearts and before God so far… I just need a little more today. Right now. Thanks. We are blessed to be able to call up power beyond our imagination – God has surround us with you.

Johnny
